What is EFT?
EFT is a meridian therapy. It works through stimulating acupressure points whilst focusing on a particular issue, each acupressure point is linked to a specific acupuncture meridian and each meridian is linked to specific emotions. By performing the tapping process on the specific points, it flushes the issue through the system and clear from mind and body. It helps balance the autonomic nervous system and promotes equilibrium in the body / mind.
EFT is painless, quick and simple to learn, with a high success rate. Yes! when I first heard of it, I was sceptical, but it has proved itself time and time again to me and those people I have taught.
Painful traumas don’t need to be experienced again as this is not necessary to gain relief. Many have reported an immediate feeling of relief, feeling lighter and uplifted as blocked energy releases.

How modern meridian therapies originated.
Meridian therapies have their roots from acupuncture practice which dates back to between 3000 and 5000 B.C. In 1964 Dr George Goodheart carried out a study in America and found that certain acupuncture points were triggers that affected bodily functions and the muscles of the body. This he called Applied Kinesiology. A psychologist Roger Callahan studied this technique. He used Kinesiology with affirmations and tapping on certain acupuncture spots in his work with a certain patient called Mary, who had a severe water phobia. This achieved instantaneous remission. He called it Thought Field Therapy TFT. This technique was further developed by Gary Craig who called his new technique Emotional Freedom Therapies EFT.
